Appointments at Santen Europe in January 2010

Manufacturing

Mr. Matti Rosengren has been appointed as Vice President, Manufacturing. Mr. Rosengren will be responsible for all Santen Europe manufacturing, facilities and utilities, and supply chain activities.

Mr. Heikki Jouttijärvi has been appointed to the newly-established position of Senior Director, Business Alliance Management in the Santen Group. Mr. Jouttijärvi will coordinate and oversee the development of global supply chain management, focusing on existing and new business alliances in all Santen territories. His home office will be at Santen Inc., Napa, California. Before this appointment, Mr. Jouttijärvi acted as Santen Oy’s Materials Management Director.

Mr. Jani Vanha-aho has been appointed as Production Controller.

We have developed the manufacturing and materials management by establishing three separate departments. The following persons have been appointed as Department Directors:

Ms. Sari Korhonen has been appointed as Director of Manufacturing Department. Ms. Korhonen will be responsible for all manufacturing, packaging, sennoside plant and warehouse activities.

Ms. Elina Aine has been appointed as Director of Supply Chain Department. Ms. Aine will be responsible for purchasing materials and in-licensed products, supply chain management, and production planning.

Mr. Jussi Vänttinen has been appointed as Director of Production Engineering Department. Mr. Vänttinen will be responsible for technical development activities in manufacturing, investments, and facilities and utilities.

Sales & Marketing

Mr. Lasse Kovalainen has been appointed as Director, Sales and Marketing, Nordic. Mr. Kovalainen will be responsible for the newly-established Nordic Marketing Organization covering Finland, Estonia and Scandinavia.

Mr. Mats Nilsson has been appointed as Director, Medical Marketing, Nordic. Mr. Nilsson will be responsible for medical marketing in the Nordic Countries and Estonia, and his home office will be in Sweden.
