The city of Tampere rewarded Santen for technical creativity

The city of Tampere awarded six prizes and one honorary mention for technical creativity on Friday, 25 September 2009. The prizes for technical creativity were awarded to Mika Kolari, Lic. Tech.; Jari Knuuttila, MSc (Tech.) and Petri Sorsa, MSc (Tech.) of Millidyne Oy, as well as to Kari Lehmussaari, MSc; Olli Oksala, PhD and Timo Reunamäki, MSc of Santen Oy.
Lehmussaari, Oksala and Reunamäki were rewarded for their creativity and innovativeness in developing treatments for eye diseases and generating as well as successfully commercializing new products which improve patient compliance.
Awards for practical work
The City of Tampere has acknowledged technical creativeness since 1981. By awarding one or more people with a technical creativity award, the city wishes to emphasize how important creativity and innovations are to the business life of Tampere and revival of the companies in the area.
